The purpose of this study, is to discuss the political question in Greek thought; and to reveal its internal contradictions between discourse and reality.

Greek political thought is, in one way or another, the true extension of Western thought.

Most modern political values such as justice, freedom, constitutional rule, and respect for the law are rooted in this era.

Thus, while it is easy for the reader of the political literature of Greek thought to find high values, he is undoubtedly shocked by inhuman practices in everyday reality.

This reflects a state of schism in Greek thought between example and reality.
