Abstract EN

This article attempts to answer some of the questions that concern, first, the nature of family values in traditional Algerian society, and their nature in the transitional Algerian society, which witnessed several changes from modernization.

Second, it seeks to identify some of the changes that have affected much of the central family values, which have always focused on the values of honor and unity of the community.

The study of the value of honor, as one of the basic values within the Algerian family, calls for an understanding of the changes that have taken place in identifying the symbolism of the woman's body in popular culture as a place of choice when it comes to marriage.

As for the unity of the community as a dominant value in the traditional Algerian family, we will try to stand on the one hand on the feeling that individuals belonging to one extended family have in their capacity as a cohesive integrated unit, without which there can be no general purpose.

As a result of these factors, the family, as a whole, underwent profound transformations as a result of objective and subjective factors, both internal and external, that affected most of its traditional functions and associated structures.

This created the conditions for the emergence of modernity.

Its place as a value within the current Algerian family.
