Abstract EN

Fossil energy has been considered the main source of global energy for decades, and it represents thehighest proportion of energy supplies among all other sources.

However, this reality has led to variousdisturbances of countries' economies on the one hand and the environment on the other that does notgreatly serve the path towards achieving the goals of sustainable development in the horizons of 2030.

Therefore, renewable energy is in the best status to represent a higher proportion than it is now withinthe global energy mix, as it is considered a clean and renewable energy.

This trend is supported by therapid development of its own technology, the decrease of costs, and the increase of awareness about itsadvantages.

These factors have stimulated many countries to increase its interest and reduce relianceon fleeting fossil energy that is harmful to the environment.

The Maghreb countries, despite theircapabilities, occupy the last rank among the countries of the world, therefore, they must be at the levelof aspirations in this area and exploit their potentials in a better way.
