Language is the basis of thinking and imagination in the literary works, through which the creator expresses his ideas and emotions and reaches his goals, whereas the semantic aspect manifests through the search of signs, signals and symbols that language includes.

This is exactly what will be revealed through the present study on the formal and linguistic construction of the Ouassini El-Aradj's novel entitled ''The Book of the Prince''.

The paper then aims at showing certain features and semantic characteristics of its language in order to understand the relationship that governs the formation of the text and the linguistic expressions used.

So, a deep study of the text is required in order to generate the meaning and investigate the artistic and aesthetic functions in a system that responds, in its elements functions and models, to semantic dimensions, through a poetic language such as in description, corresponding words and dialogue.
