Abstract EN

This study aimed to clarify the structure of public debt and its impact on some macroeconomic variables and the extent of the impact of the increase in public debt on those variables.

In order to reach the goal has been relied on methods of analysis through analysis of public debt structure on some macroeconomic variables in sample countries the study (Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen).

Was also used quantitative analysis based on standard methods, through the application of the method of tablet data (Panal Data), which combines cross sections and time series, based on annual data for the period (2004-2017) included sample countries in order to know whether the structure of the public debt has a positive or negative effect on those variables.

The results of the standard study showed that there is a significant and positive impact of public debt on both GDP, imports and investments.
