تحليل و نمذجة مكانية لمخاطر حوض وادي نينك في دهوك شمالي العراق : دراسة جيومورفية تطبيقية

Abstract EN

The research aims to study, analysis and spatial modeling of morphological risks for Nink Valley basin in Dohuk northern Iraq, which is located within the approved torsional mountain area as a high-level area in Iraq.

The valley basin area is 267 square kilometers and the maximum height is meters 2230 meters while the lower height is 716 meters.

The largest downward angle from class (16-29.9) which is covered around 55.52% from the pelvic area.

In this study a suggested mathematical model used to study the several layers of the area using Arc GIS software.

The categories and weights of each layer which means deciding how much resistance of the studied classes erosion processes and morphological risks have been selected.

The study showed that, Nink valley basin is one of the outdoor moderately dangerous valley basins with 143 square kilometers covered 53.56% of the total area of the selected basin which is showing as Wavy and fragmented sliced area based on Zink classification model for the slopes.

In conclusion the current study recommended that, the selected area is not suitable for agriculture because soil erosion hitting the area in previous time as well as the selected area is of the high-risk places for human settlement.
