Job satisfaction is one of the important topics in the science of management because it is an emotional state related to the human element, difficult to understand and measured objectively, has addressed this subject hundreds of researches has studied this subject.

In 1976, more than 3, 350 studies were conducted in the United States on job satisfaction, some considered job satisfaction as an independent variable affecting the behavior of workers such as performance, enteeism, labour turnover and communication, and sometimes as a dependent variable affected by wages and salaries, the system of grants and bonuses, the structure of authority and the decision-making system.

In this study we tried to study the relationship between the wages paid to employees in the General Authority for taxes and their satisfaction with these wages using statistical mathematical methods.

The study consisted of the theoretical framework which dealt with the first chapter of the concept of salary and its types.

The second chapter is the concept of job satisfaction and its impact on productivity.

The sampling method was used on the staff of the General Authority for Taxes and the analysis of the results statistically.

The study found that there is no job satisfaction among the employees of the General Authority for taxes on the salaries they receive, which is not enough for them to live in luxury and to meet their various requirements, which may make some resort to the use of overelaborate ways, taking advantage of his job to get additional amounts to cover their needs.
