Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the reality of using educational aids in the departments of the first year high school sections, a common trunk of science and technology, from the point of view of the professors of these departments in some secondary schools of Tizi Ouzou.

to verify this, we adopted the descriptive approach and prepared a questionnaire consisting of (38) items, and a list containing (17) educational tool, after reviewing the educational literature.

the questionnaire was distributed to a sample of professors consisting of (52) professors from among the professors who study the sections of the first year secondary, a common core of science and technology, and who were randomly selected from institutions in rural and urban areas.

we figured through the teachers' answers that they see that educational aids have valuable goals and are appropriate to the level of the pupils, meaning that they contribute greatly to facilitating their learning, but most of the necessary means to achieve this are not available in their institutions except for the blackboard and the book, which are the most used, and that the lack of availability and the use of educational aids results from difficulties and obstacles that may be related to the financial capabilities of the institutions and the conditions prevailing in the classrooms and the professor and his capabilities and experience in dealing with educational aids.
