Abstract EN

The study probes the way in which the character of the hero is shaped, in the novels of Najeeb al-Kilani "Omar Appears in Jerusalem", "Abd al-Muttagli's Confessions", ” Killer of Hamza " and " Blood for [Baking] Zion Matzos"), from structural and psychological perspectives.

Besides, the way in which the main character is presented, and ended in the novel; in addition to character placement in the body of the novel, and the impact of ideological constraints in character construction.

The study focused on the main character (hero) regardless other characters in the novels as it is subject to special attention in writing criticism of al Kilani himself.

This latter bet on the idea of positive hero or leading hero, jeopardizing the stereotype characterization or inconsistency with reality.
