The Private Security Companies have been able to present themselves as a professional alternative to the regular armies in securing humanitarian work, because of the availability of qualified and highly experienced workers as a result of attracting many sophisticated soldiers with considerable materials and logistic capabilities.

However, the use of these companies in humanitarian works was not limited to Legal problems that imposed by the fact of the field, especially in the light of these companies' work, under a fragile legal framework which is not just a collection of documents, reports or even draft agreements that are not binding.

This what we have tried to address in this research paper by trying to answer a deep question about: to which extent the Private Security and Military Companies are considered to be an effective legal mechanism in Peacekeeping Operations and to achieve their desired objectives.
