The Algerian legislator introduced the criminal mediation procédure as a means to end the criminal pursuit.

Suchaprocedure allows the establishment of a fair system of justice.

Involving other agents to the criminal case would develop a spirit of reconciliation among the different parties of the criminal case.

The reconcialiating mediation isestablished under awritten form to engage all parts to executeit in a vividattempt to shorten the prosecurions and facilitate procedures of the courts.

The essence of criminal mediationlays on the basis of putting an end to the pursuit once executed by the parts.

It isinitiated by the prosecutor or at the request of one of the parties to the case.

Moreover, criminal mediationdoes not involve all crimes, but isrestricted by law to low-risk crimes such as offenses in général and minor offenses.
