Abstract EN

This study was to shed light on the literature of Islamic economic thought with respect to tackling poverty and the mechanisms in place theoretically and in Islamic history for their solution, The study concluded that Islam is pre-empted this dilemma by strategies and preventive as to work as worship and forbidding begging and scrounging as a humiliation and an affront to the human being honored from the Almighty, Islam has entailed that remedial actions are based on the foundations of social solidarity and includes zakat endowment, charity, penance and others to secure the minimum needs of the poor.
