This study aims to demonstrate the contribution of strategic planning to achieving sustainable development.

To achieve this objective, the importance of tourism planning has been considered as one of the most important economic tools used for the development of modern tourism, in order to raise the return of national and individual income, raise the cultural level and preserve the cultural component.

The study concludes the importance of tourism planning as the most important tool for contemporary tourism development, which aims at sustainable development.
