Abstract EN

This paper aims at shedding some light on the extent of the impact of legal investment climate variations on foreign direct investment influx in Algeria between1962-2016.

In order to fulfill methodology requirements in terms of solving a research problem, we divide this research work into two important parts.

The first one underscores the fact that investment climate encompasses many investment attracting factors which we have to address on equal footing without distinction between them.

The second one argues that legal factors variations, like other foreign investment attracting factors, have strong influence on these latter's fluxes in a given state.

A clear evidence of these two facts is given by increases of foreign direct investment in Algeria, in 2016 despite crashing oil prices in international markets.

This research paper recommends that the Algerian State gives more attention and interest to legal bases of investment to get more fluxes of foreign investments, especially direct ones without dismissing other attracting factors.
