Abstract EN

Algeria suffers from the informal economy and its negative effects.

This is due to the fact that it is being performed out of the legal framework that governs the economic activities.

Also such informal economic is not subject to any taxes and it does not enter in the GNP.

Hence, through this paper, we are going to clarify what is meant by the formal economy in Algeria and how it affects the right to decent work, and then we state the requirements of its embodiment.

Results: 1.

The informal economy has a direct relationship with the labor market in Algeria whose indicators are related to the data of the informal economy, especially the unemployment.

Provision of decent work necessitates creation of a stable economic environment to deal with the informal economy and activate the legal provisions to eliminate such practices.
