Abstract EN

The aim of the study is to emphasize that the use of unconventional monetary instruments or unconventional funding to cover the deficit in the state budget is one of the methods that has achieved very positive results in many countries, especially in the case of unusual economic conditions (crisis situation).

The study showed that Algeria resorted for the first time to the use of unconventional funding to cover the budget deficit by printing banknotes without cover.

This paper concluded that the success of the non-traditional financing process depends on the existence of two basic conditions: the need to link the monetary issue with the size of the idle production capacity and the increase in income that accompanies the development process, as well as controlling the new monetary policy and directing it towards the productive sectors.
