In the last few years, the world has witnessed a great development in information and communication technology, resulting in a significant increase in the amount of digital data,which is known as "big data".

This paper seeks to identify the meaning of the big data, types, sources, management requirements, areas of utilization, and the challenges of investment and also the integration of knowledge, forms, entrances and the advantages of its achievement in the National Library of Kuwait,, and for this purpose the study relied on the descriptive analytical approach.

The most important results of the study that the big data contribute to improve the performance of some services, and contribute to support decision-making, In addition to the Shortage of significant human resources specialized in the management of big data, And the absence of training programs necessary for the rehabilitation of employees in the management of large data to achieve the integration of knowledge.
