The art of poetic oppositions is a chapter of Arabic poetry, old in its history, which continued throughout the literary ages, and ended up to our present times, where the opposition of the ancient poets increased to each other, the opposition of the modern to the old, and the opposition of the modernists to the speakers decreased.

Opposing them, and competing in that, striving to provide their best poetic art tools so that the opposing poem is at the level of the original poem or better than it.
