The disciplines of Philosophy and anthropology are also interested in this topic.

All these three disciplines have proposed a number of definitions and general theories about social change.

They can be grouped into for main categories: evolutionary, cyclical, structural- Functional, and conflict theories.

in the first part of the article we have presented definition of the social change.

"Social change refers to the change in structure and function of society.

The second parts of article we can identify the following essential characteristics of Social Change are as follows: Universality of Social Change, Social Change is caused by many factors.
