Abstract EN

Our study aims to verify the role of school sport in selection and guidance, and we conducted the study on a sample of 45 teachers of education and sports in the averages and assigned to school sports, and we used the questionnaire as a tool to collect data, and the descriptive approach as a way to know the results.

We concluded that school sport is not an effective factor in selecting talented students and directing them to competitive sport, and the selection and orientation process is not based on scientific foundations, and that the teacher has the required competence in the selection and guidance process
