دراسة تحليلية لظاهرة عجز ميزان المدفوعات في الجزائر خلال الفترة (1990-2017)‎

Abstract EN

This paper aims at highlighting the Algerian balance of payments deficit during the period (1990-2017), as it is considered to be one of the macroeconomic indicators that ensure global stability in the national economy.

Findings show that there a weakness at the level of external trade exchanges, which mirrors the irrelevant component of both imports and exports.

In other words, Algeria relies their exports in more than 95% on petroleum products; therefore, it suffers from inadequate exports out of oil.

On the other hand, Algeria imports consumer goods rather than capital goods.

Moreover, other reasons behind the balance of payment deficit like the inadequate structure of external debt, and the weak foreign direct investment incomes, mainly out of oil sectors.
