Abstract EN

This study aimed to recognize the level of emotional intelligence among athletically gifted students in the light of some variables, the sample of this study consisted of (130) athletically gifted students male and female students in Directorate of education for Al-teeba and al-wastyyeh In Irbid Governorate, of both levels: the intermediate and secondary school.

The analytical descriptive method, and the emotional intelligence scale (Chapman, 2001) were used, and the results indicated the following: -The emotional intelligence level among athletically gifted students was high.

-There are statistically significant differences (α=0.05) due to the impact of gender in all areas and the total degree except self-awareness, as well as the emotional training, and the differences were in favor of females.

-There are no statistically significant differences (α=0.05) due to the level in all areas and the total degree except the relationships management, and the differences were in favor of secondary school.

-There are no statistically significant differences (α=0.05) due to the effect of interaction between gender and level except the areas of emotions management and relationships management.
