Abstract EN

In light of the strong relationship between the need for economic development and the requirements of environmental protection, the intervention of the state with various tax instruments is inevitable to rein in pollution caused by economic institutions on the one hand, and encourage them to change their behaviour on the other.

This study attempts to identify the importance of the use of fiscal tools by the state in both its deterrent and motivational ways to guide the environmental behavior of economic institutions, with a look at the structure of the French model in this field and its results.

The study concluded that the environmental tax instruments proved effective in combating pollution because they Is one of the most important determinants of environmental behavior of economic institutions.
