This study aims to shed light on the historical figure of Sheikh Ma El Aïnin, one of the science faces in Mauritania, symbol of the jihadi movement, with him contemporary historians and scholars have celebrated with great care and authored books about him, They put the literature of outstanding scientific value which is of special importance in the field of documentation of the cultural activity of its history, as well as shedding light on the nature of the relations that it weaved with figures of his time, and his intellectual and military resistance against French colonialism, and this is what we will review in this study by tracing its intellectual and jihadist path in the region.
