The diplomatic tool is one of the most effective tools in the foreign policy of any country.

As part of its efforts to restore its regional role in Africa, Egypt has taken a number of initiatives to support Egyptian-African cooperation, reflecting a real political will to activate the African circle as a priority in Egypt's foreign policy.

In this context, the Egyptian political leadership decided to establish the Egyptian Agency for Development in late 2013, which was later renamed the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development, and was formally established on July 1st, 2014, to become a mechanism for promoting joint development in Africa.

The establishment of this agency represents the starting point for a new phase of Egyptian-African interaction within the framework of developmental diplomacy.

Since its establishment, the Agency has been able to achieve some accomplishments over the past two years.

Nevertheless, reality indicates that there are some obstacles hindering the Agency's functioning as intended.

In this context, this paper seeks to study and analyze the role of the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development in supporting the Egyptian-African cooperation in the fields in which it operates.

It also seeks to identify the main challenges that make it difficult for the Agency to carry out its tasks efficiently.
