The study aimed to identify the role played by international non-governmental organizations in defending the issues of prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons, in light of the violations committed by the Israeli authorities in violation of international laws and covenants.

By asking the question of the contribution of international non-governmental organizations in defending the issue of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons? The study found that there was a decline in the role of NGOs, especially with regard to the role of the International Committee of the Red Cross, in the level of humanitarian assistance and services.

The study also recommends the need to activate the role of international non-governmental organizations in caring for prisoners by opening up the fields of education within prisons and improving conditions of detention.
