Abstract EN
The present study aimed to develop a suggested prospect for the mechanisms of using Action research as an approach to the continuing professional development of pre-university teachers in Egyptian schools, To achieve this goal, A list of the requirements for the application of Action research in Egyptian schools has been prepared under the terms of the questionnaire, was applied to a random sample of professors of education in the faculties of education, the National Center for Educational Research and Development, and the Institute of Educational Studies (30 Professor and Assistant Professor ), And a group of graduate students in the faculties of education in some Egyptian universities, who were trained in the Action Research Project adopted by the Middle East Institute of Higher Education at the American University in Cairo(20 Student ), To reach a final opinion on these requirements.
The results of the study have reached a set of requirements that must be met to apply Action research as an approach to the continuing professional development of pre-university teachers in Egyptian schools, They were classified into two axes, they: First: the requirements related to the teacher researcher, ( Scientific research skills, Self- Learning skills, Reflective thinking skills), Second: administrative and technical requirements.
In light of the results, the study presented a suggested prospect for the mechanisms of using Action research as an approach to the continuing professional development of pre-university teachers in Egyptian schools.
