Abstract EN

This study summarizes a comparison and analysis of television programs viewed by children in the UAE and in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Various indices suggest that the frequency and overall percentage of value and information presented in the programs in Milwaukee are significantly superior to those in UAE TV.

Religion programming came out on top in the various measures.

It is recommended that the UAE TV increase the emphasis on educational content, information and learning value of children's television, and especially gear these to reflect the local context.
