Abstract EN

Diagnosing the passive aggressive behavior is the most important step to identify people who practice this behavior, therefore provide appropriate intervention programs.

The current research aims at verifying the psychometric characteristics of Passive Aggressive Behavior Scale of university students through the calculation of internal consistency, stability and validity coefficients of the Passive Aggressive Behavior Scale.

The study sample consisted of (440) students enrolled in the Faculty of Education, Fayoum University (102 males, and 338 females).

The study sample included the students from the first to the fourth year for the academic year 2017/2018.

Chronological age ranged from (18-22) (Mean: 20.8; SD: 1.72).

The sample was randomly selected.

The researcher conducted the statistical analysis for data of the application of Passive Aggressive Behavior Scale on the sample of the study.

The results of the study revealed that the Passive Aggressive Behavior Scale has high reliability and validity coefficients.

Thus, the psychometric characteristics of the scale (stability and validity) were confirmed.

This confirms its efficiency in measuring the passive aggressive behavior of university students and confidence in the results of using it.
