Abstract EN

This study aims to analyze the evolution of the volume of government expenditure in Algeria for the period from 1980 to 2016 by highlighting the concept of government expenditure and its divisions in Algeria and taking a look at the development of international oil prices and then going to the stages of development of government expenditure in Algeria during the period under study.

The study found that Algeria during the period of study pursued an expansionist policy and that the most important factor controlling the volume of government expenditure in Algeria is oil prices as the government identifies its expenditures and draws up its development projects on the basis thereof.
