Abstract EN

The Study aims to find out the extent to which the questions and activities of the Sciences Books include the basic Stage of the mental skills involved in the Morzano Model.

The researcher adopted the Morzano mental skills Assessment Tool, a list of 8 main mental skills, categories and 21 sub-mental skills in which the questions and activities of Sciences books were for the last three grades of the primary phase of the academic Year 2014-2015.

The researcher adopted the descriptive approach analyzed(analysis of the content)The explicit idea adopted the unit of analysis.

One of the findings of the study the questions of the three books achieved 19 mental kills by 1925 and by 95.27.Activities in all the clerks achieved 17 mental skills by 1377 and 87.79 the reasoning skill obtained the lightest percentage in the questions and activities of all books by 820 and 42,59 for questions and 599 recurrence and 49.54 for activities.

On the level of the three books, grade questions achieved 17mental skills for questions and eighth grade achieved 15 mental skills for activities.

In the light of these results, the researcher came to a set of recommendations and suggestions, including the need to balance the mental skills included in the science books of the basic stage, conduct smiliar studies in other stages of study, such as secondary school.
