تقدير العلاقة طويلة الأجل بين الاستثمار السياحي و النمو الاقتصادي في الجزائر : دراسة قياسية باستخدام نموذج ARDL

Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to test the long-run relationship between tourism investment and economic growth in Algeria by studying the relationship between the size of tourism investment spending and the size of GDP in dollars.

We used in our testing the annual time series data from 1990 to 2016, which we acquired by testing the boundaries and applying the Autoregressive-Distributed Lag model (ARDL).

The results of the study showed that there is a long-run balance relationship with a positive statistical significance between tourism investment and gross domestic product, as well as a short-run relationship during the period of this study.

Based on the results, the study recommends the need to increase the investment in the tourism sector in order to stimulate long-run economic growth, and to develop tourism policies that encourage research scientific and human resource training, which guarantees an optimal use of tourism resources.
