There are different forms of revolt among the people of M'chedellah.

There are those who have defended with weapons, and others have chosen poetry as a means to defend the national cause and to extract it from colonial jogue.

Thus poetry was a means of expressing the groans and suffering of their society by reminding them of the epics of their heroes, and that is why poetry became an important tool in societies expressing their historical, social, and religious events, and even became an important source of historical writing.

That is why we find that the poetry of resistance in the Kabylie region, especially M'chedellah, was accompanying the first day The colonizer entered it, recording its events and depicting the tragedies of its war, advising its leaders and glorifying their heroism.

And from the repercussions of the colonial policy also, the confiscation of land, which was the source of livelihood for families, which led the population after that, to the perdition of the famines that struck the country in the early sixties, while these difficult circumstances were the inspiration for many of the people.

The arch of M'chedellah which is located to the south of the mountain of Djurdjura (Bouira currently) gave birth to poets of national renown in Kabyle poetry, one can quote among these poets Ammar Oulhadj, si mohand ouaid de beni kani (takerboust ) and without forgetting Lala Khlidja… and many others, they have composed poetic texts on famine, and the danger which cheers their language
