Abstract EN

The poor conditions, which prevailed in the Islamic world prior to the Crusades, fell the Moslems and their land a prey to the greed of Crusade Europe.

Consequently, it initiated several military campaigns which were sent to the Islamic world under the pretext of liberating Jerusalem.

These Campaigns brought about several wars and battles, which in their turn resulted in Truce Accords, similar to al Ramlah Truce during the Third Crusade campaign in the East (Spring 1191 to 1192 -587-588 H) This campaign was distinguished from the other campaigns of crusades by the diplomatic activities represented mainly by the negotiations and exchange of messages, which took place between the Moslems and the Crusaders.

These negotiations were crowned with the accords which are now known as al-Ramlah truce on the 2nd September 1192 A.D (22nd Shaban 588A.H).
