Abstract EN

The aim of the study was to provide a proposed train- ing program to develop the awareness of academic leaders at Saudi universities of Afaq Higher Education Plan.

The study used the descriptive approach, and a questionnaire was applied to the academic leaders of Hail University (university agents, dean of faculty, dean of support deanship, faculty vice president and head of academic department).

Ihe study found the following results: - The realization of academic leaders at the University of Hail to the Afaq Plan emerged only in their knowledge of the date of the high approval of the adoption of the plan.

- The perceptions of academic leaders were medium in a num- ber of areas related to the plan, including: (The plan of Afaq, the relationship of Afaq plan to achieve quality in the university education system, some of the strategic dimensions of Afaq plan and specifically after the expansion of the admission of students).

- There is a large number of components of Afaq plan that is not fully realized by the academic leaders of the University of Hail, which includes: (the executive programs of Afaq plan, the eight tracks of the components of university education, members of the executive team of the various Afaq and tasks, The method- ology of Afaq project, the objectives of the Afaq plan and the message of Afaq plan).

The study then presented a proposed training program to de- velop the awareness of academic leaders at the emerging Saudi universities of Afaq Higher Education Plan: Hail University as a model.
