Handball and basketball are a group of games characterized by a multitude of goals, points and continuous competition characterized by rapid rhythm and continuous exercises that require observation and the scope of view based on the mental aspects and speed of performance that is closely related to the physical level of play coupled with physiological aspectsHence the importance of research in studying the most important mental, physical and physiological abilities of each game and finding the meaning of differences between the game itself and between the performance of players in handball and basketball, in order to facilitate the task of our training cadres working in handball and basketball to see the level of their players Accurate and comprehensive mental, physical and physiological abilities in order to give an objective guide to the instructor to know the level of the real player by evaluating the results of tests and measurements used, the most important goals of the study was to study the relationship between mental abilities, physical and physiological The players in each game separately and find the statistical differences between the variables studied by players in handball and basketball together.

The researchers used the descriptive method in the method of surveying and associative studies, while the society and the sample of the researchers determined the research community in a deliberate manner, players of clubs Maysan province (Club Degla - Club architecture - Prince Club - Maysan Petroleum Club - Ali Al Gharbi club) Handball and basketball category applicants for the season (2018-2019) where he reached (96) players with (49) players handball and(47)playersbasketball.

The most important conclusions: - There were statistically significant differences between handball and basketball players (mental perception - attention concentration - response speed and movement - heart rate - blood oxygen ratio).

- There were statistically significant differences in variables (explosive force of the arms - speed of transition - vital capacity) and for handball players.

- There were statistically significant differences in the variables (perception of jump distance - the explosive power of the two men) and for basketball players.

The most important recommendations: - Emphasis on organized training and centers of play in terms of mental and physical abilities - Emphasize the need to develop the mental and physical abilities of handball players and basketball in the development of training curricula that will contribute to raising mental, physical and physiological level
