Abstract EN

The purpose of the study is to investigate the effectiveness of a computerized educational program based on sing language in Islamic Education to improve the level of academic achievement among second basic grade deaf students.

A purposive sample was selected from the academic year 2017/2018 consisting of:( 15) children studying at Al-amal school for dcaf/Salt as an experimental group; and (15) students studying at the holy land school/salt as a control group.

The researchers developed two tools, the first is an achievement test while, the second is a computerized program based on sign language, and the researcher administrated psychometric procedures for both tools.

Moreover, the researcher adopted the quasi-experimental approach in the study, as the findings showed that there are significant statistical differences in the means of the post- test for both groups (control/ experimental) in favor of the experimental group, proving the effectiveness of the computerized program based on sing language ; in the means of the post measure according to group type (control/experimental) in favor of the experimental group.Further, the findings showed that there is a significant statistical difference in the degrees of the control group according to gender in favor of females.
