In recent years, attention has been paid to the concept of sustainable development, as the orientation of countries towards achieving sustainable development, which is not limited to economic, financial and health aspects, has begun.

As we are serious about achieving sustainable development, we must start with the education sector and its various stages and tools to improve education.

Educational organizations must possess the capabilities of information technology, which is one of the pillars of sustainable development.

The main problem with the study was whether the IT capabilities could achieve sustainable development in the education sector in Iraq.

As for the purpose of this research is to study the impact of the capabilities of information technology in achieving the sustainable development of education, where the sample of the research group of the views of teachers at the University of Mosul, and the data was processed in the computer using the statistical program (Minitab) and concluded the results of the study that the technical capabilities Information plays an important role in achieving sustainable development in education, and the success of universities depends on their technical capabilities.
