The research aims to identify the effectiveness of self- learning in raising the efficiency of the university lecturers by reliance on the scientific resources, letruturs survey and workshops that dealt with this variable.

The research came out with a number of recommendations and suggestions to activate the role of self- learning in the educational process in order to develop the efficiency of the lecturer and students.
