Abstract EN

This research aimed at identifying the intellectual frame of the extracurricular activities in basic education schools as they have been determined in the educational literature and ministerial decisions, making use of the experiences of some countries in the field of activating the role of community participation in managing the extracurricular activities, analyzing the role of community participation parties in managing the extracurricular activities in basic education schools, , defining the reality of this participation in basic education schools in Fayoum Governorate, and after that providing some requirements to achieve that role.

The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach applying the case study technique.

that yielded some results, the most important of which are the following: weakness of the role of the community participation parties in managing the extracurricular activities in basic education schools in Fayoum Governorate, as the sample members agree at a low level that the community participation parties that role, whereas they agree at a high level that there are some obstacles that prevent activating that role in these schools.

The sample members agree at a medium level that there are obstacles concerning the community participation parties.
