The Kuwaiti heritage is an important part of the nation’s identity, which is presented with pride on many occasions.

This research focuses on detecting the interest of Malls and Complexes’ owners of using the Kuwaiti architectural heritage in their designs, and how are they react about the sustainability of the Kuwaiti heritage identity.

The researcher used a descriptive analytical approach, where he studied the characterization of ancient markets in Kuwait to show the characteristic of the Kuwaiti heritage design, and some of the contemporary Complexes and Shops.

The researcher conducted a field study to create a better understanding of the opinion and interest of malls and shops’ owners about integrating the Kuwaiti heritage in their projects.

The study was conducted in the form of personal interviews and photographs of the visited places.

In the accompanying research, results show that most of the Malls and complexes’ owners disliked applying Kuwaiti heritage designs in their projects due to various reasons.

However, they reacted positively on encouraging the society to apply it in other buildings.

On the other hand, research has showed that private shop owners have expressed more interest in sustaining and applying the Kuwaiti heritage in the design of their shops.

Based on that, it is possible to sustain the Kuwaiti heritage through public and private buildings.

With the aim to find design and economic solutions to include the Kuwaiti heritage through cultural sustainability in designing malls and different complexes.
