Abstract EN

The study aimed to realize the role of information technology in sustainable development.

The researcher followed the descriptive analytical method, and the study tool was a questionnaire that consisted of three axes.

Where the first axis focuses on the extent of the study sample's knowledge of the concept of information technology.

In addition to that the second axis focuses on the extent of the study sample's knowledge about the concept and dimensions of sustainable development.

And the third axis aims to find out the degree of appreciation of the study sample for the role of information technology in sustainable development.

The study sample was chosen from the teachers of Islamic education for the secondary stage in an available way, as it consisted of (164) teachers.

The results showed that the extent of the study sample's knowledge of the concept of information technology was of a moderate degree.

However, the extent of the study sample's knowledge of the concept and dimensions of sustainable development was at a high degree.

And that the degree of appreciation of the study sample for the role of information technology in sustainable development was moderate.

It was also seen that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.
