Current search targets identify- : 1 .Formal inference among the students of Mustansiriya University.

2 -To find the differences of statistical significance in the formal reasoning in the students of Mustansiriya University and according to the variables of sex and specialization.

The current research is limited to the study of the formal reasoning of the students of Mustansiriya University in Baghdad governorate of both types (male - female) and both specialized (scientific - human) and the preliminary studies morning and for the academic year (2015-2016) The sample of the current research was composed of Mustansiriya University students after random sample selection from the universities of Mustansiriya University.

The College of Science was chosen to represent the scientific colleges and the College of Education to represent the humanitarian faculties.

The sample of 400 students was chosen by 200 students from the Faculty of Science And (200) students from the Faculty of Human Education The test consists of (45) graded form with difficulty, preceded by four illustrative examples that are difficult.

Psychological and educational sciences, tests and standards, and psychological and educational sciences.

The test was presented to a group of arbitrators of (16) arbitrators After collecting the questionnaires presented to them, it was found that 100% of the arbitrators approved the validity of the test as a scientific test and it is valid for applying to the current research sample.

The researcher adopted the appropriate statistical means to achieve his research objective.

The researcher adopted the results of his research on the statistical bag for the social and psychological sciences (SPSS.) Recommendations: In the light of the search results the researcher can recommend the following 1- Appeal to the university institutions in the Ministry of Higher Education and scientific research the need to include some of the curricula and study decisions and the adoption of the skill of formal reasoning to make university students tend to the skill of formal inference in the development of cognitive and mental abilities.

Appeal to the Iraqi universities to diversify the scientific, cultural, social and sports activities at their request in order to make university students tend to use the skill of formal inference.

Proposals: To supplement the current research results, the researcher may propose the following studies: 1- Conduct the same study on other Iraqi universities such as the University of Basra and make comparisons between the results of these studies and the current study.

2- Conducting the same study on other stages of study such as preparatory school and comparisons between the results of these studies and the current study.

3- Conduct the same study and find the implications of differences on other variables: To compare these variables in the morning and evening primary studies.

B - The first and fourth grades.

C- For preliminary studies in public colleges and colleges.
