Abstract EN

Many kings of ancient Mesopotamia have documented the years they ruled according to incidents with religious events.

Though tracing the documented formula, it becomes obvious the effect of religion upon them for they didn’t choose random events in the proceed of documented .Instead ,they chose the most close events that are on direct touch their lives or events that used to have advantages upon all other contemporary events .

They were also fully aware of every religious events, its religious origins and anything related to it that may help in revealing its religious significance thus, this paper is divided into three major titles that are:- First:- Religious denotations of date formula in related to temples construction and renewed.

Second:- Religious denotations of date formula related to choosing and appointing priests.

Third:- Religious denotations of date formula in related to gifts presentation to gods in their temples.

In a number of these formulae the kings weren’t satisfied with using dates according to construction events ,they added phrases that were related to the nominations of the king's deputy to construct temple the mater which is likely close to what is known now days as a resident engineer.

Other kings related event of construction to another different event such as enemy capturing, other kings have documented the process of preparing for construction such as mud modeling event or putting mud in the modal.

Some date formulae have taken out of choosing and appointing priests as major events of document ,some of them have mentioned the name of the temple ,the name of the city and the name of the god that the priestess has been chose to him, some of these formulae didn’t mention all these details .

As for the date formulae that used to depend upon gifts and giving presentations to gods , they also varied between making thrones or weapons or head covers or wagons (carts) and boats making to carry the gods statues or making musical instruments
