Abstract EN

The intervention of the Iraqi army in most events and political developments in Iraq which showed clearly in most events of the 1st Division of the events and political developments mainly 1958 .

The 1st Division participated in most important and big attempts to annihilate the royal system but the only attempt which succeeded was ( Eagle operation ) at the morning of 14July 1958 , which was succeeded by the Freedom officers control on the 1st Division on all its brigades , whereas Naji Talib controlled the fifteen infantry brigade in Basra , and Fouad Aref control the 9th training brigade in Hilla , Ahmed Hassan Al-Bakir and Fadheel Abbas Al-Mahdawi control on 1st infantry brigade in Al-Musaib by Baghdad security plan .

For Omar Ali general staff was at the 1st Division Headquarters in Diwaniyah , he was in fait accompli mainly all the Division Units didn't respond to the warning and crawling to Baghdad to annihilate the Revolution but to support it , so that , the 1st Division by successfulness of the 14 Revolution 1958 in Iraq.
