Abstract EN

The serious and serious threats posed by the spread of drug promotion and abuse on society in general and the youth segment in particular, have led Algeria to double its efforts in combating this phenomenon of abuse and promotion, especially after Algeria's transformation from a transit country to a consumer country in addition to the various criticisms directed at the previous policy in this field.

The features of the current Algerian drug control policy, startingin 2003, have emergedthrough the plan presented by the Director General of the National Office for Drug Abuse and Drug Addiction, whichextends over 5 years (2004-2008) and isfinanced by the state, and itsfield application calls for cooperation of state institutions and civil society at the same time.

Whetherunder the supervision of the National Office for Drug Abuse and Drug Addiction, whichperforms the functions of coordination and periodicevaluation of the implementation of the project.
