Abstract EN

This study aims to find out the success of the idea of converting the public debt into investments in Algeria.

While highlighting the role played by the Algerian Revenue Control Fund in embodying the prepayment policy of public debt, both internally and externally; By rescheduling the external debt with the Paris Club and the London Club, where the external public debt moved to sustainable levels.

The résulte of the study confirm the hypothesis of the success of the various strategies adopted to pay the debt in reducing the size of the public debt in Algeria.

This is consistent with the purpose of Algeria establishing a sovereign wealth fund; Concurrent with all this, the government sought to limit the impact of the public debt on fiscal policy, by concluding prior agreements, whether to convert it, reduce it, or repay it.
