Abstract EN

This research examines how the Algerian-French convention on children of this separated mixed couples, which was signed in 1988, had regulated visiting rights, after entrusting custody to one of the parents.

Given that this concerns mixed marriages, visiting rights exercising for noncustodial parent problems were raised.

So, this paper aims at explaining how to make the noncustodial parent able to exercise his/her right to visit his/her child, through demonstrating visiting rights in international private law, then in this convention; also the instruments of its realization.

The most important results of this study are that the convention should be amended by providing details about visiting rights exercising.

The convention should also strengthen noncustodial parent's participation in raising his/her child, thus contributing to maintain quiet and regular relations between the child and his/her parent.
