Both theoretical framework and scales used in the field were applied.

The cultural and social factor was considered in terms of the formulation and the choice of the aspects of behavior that could represent various aspects of inconsistency.

It has been applied to 337 female students from Umm Al-Qura University students to perform the factor analysis where four factors were extracted for cognitive dissonance that have explained the value of 51.

These factors were named according to the items they contain, that is, the dimension of family relations (family), the dimension of social relations (social), the dimension of self-compatibility and the emotional dimension.

The results of the approximate validity and the degree of stability of the sub-measures of cognitive dissonance scale also showed good results in the reapplication and the internal consistency (Alpha Kronbach).

Thus, the results of the study entirely have indicated the validity of cognitive dissonance scale (A short Form) and have provided the required standard specifications.

As a result, it can be used in other studies.
