The role of the military is the most prominent phenomenon in Turkey's political life, and with the success of the justice and development party in the 2002 elections, there have been changes and transformations inside Turkey, the party has adopted reform policies in all fields, its aim is to impose civilian control and completely exclude the military establishment from political life, thus, the relationship becomes a point of tension and attraction between a military establishment that Turkish history witnesses, and between a civil party with a renewed vision and a total strategy for the role of the state in public life, this is what this study aims to address according to a critical approach to the political and military dialectic in Turkey, and the practical policies it produced towards the 2016 coup attempt.
